Using WakeMode

WakeMode offers free browser tools, including Keep Screen Awake, timers, clocks and a screen test. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

No account, no charge

You don't need an account, and the tools are free. We may add, change or remove tools at any time.

What the tools can and can't do

• Keep Screen Awake keeps your screen from dimming or locking while the page is open and visible. It doesn't change your device's sleep settings, and your browser or device may still turn the screen off, for example on low battery or when the tab is hidden.
• Timers, the stopwatch and clocks use your device's clock and are meant for everyday use. Don't rely on them where exact timing is critical for safety, health, legal or financial purposes.
• The Screen Test shows test patterns to help you look for display problems. It can't diagnose hardware faults with certainty.

Acceptable use

Please don't misuse the site. That includes trying to disrupt or overload it, accessing it in ways that bypass its normal interface to harm it, or using it to break the law.

Content and trademarks

The WakeMode name, design and text belong to WakeMode. City data in the World Clock comes from GeoNames under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. Other names mentioned belong to their owners.

Third-party services (to be added at launch)

We plan to use Google Analytics, Google AdSense and Google's consent message. Google's terms and policies apply to those services. See our privacy and cookie policies for details.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We do our best to keep it working and accurate, but we don't promise it will always be available, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, WakeMode isn't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by relying on the tools, such as a missed timer or a screen that turned off. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.
